About Us

Ephesians 5:3-7 (NLT) Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.  Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.  You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him.  Don’t participate in the things these people do.

Cherub Film Festival - Where Fans, Faith and Filmmakers Unite!

In a world that is inundated by secular and ungodly lifestyles, it is refreshing to know that we still have filmmakers who strive to bring biblical faith to the audience.
However, as an independent filmmaker myself, I have run into every distribution road block imaginable. If you’re like me, the most important thing is to get your movie in front of an audience. Then you worry about recouping your cost so you can start your next project. And the key here is RECOUPING at least some of that hard earned or spent money so you can get to work on the next one.
After years of negotiating with distributors who focused more on filling their wallets than helping me recoup production cost, I decided to invest in starting a distribution company that puts God first, the filmmaker second, the audience third, and then me.
I spent over 30 years of sales in the retail and wholesale fruit and vegie business, yet I never considered myself a salesman. My first boss sent me out to sell some tomatoes and I came home without selling any at all. I was so excited about all of the people I met and the encouraging prospect of future sales but my boss told me that is not how you become a great salesman. He said you need to convince the buyer to buy now. Get the money and run, sort of speak. I just kept going back over and over even if they didn’t buy because I was enjoying the relationships I was building. My boss told me I wasn’t cut out for sales and told me I needed to make sales or get off the route. It was several weeks before I ever made my first sale, but when they started buying they bought loyally. I didn’t set out to build relationships or make friends, I set to sell tomatoes. I was very young back then and I didn’t have any idea how to be a salesman so I did what came natural. I made friends, loyal friends. Friends that bought from for the rest of my career in the produce business. I credit that kind of loyalty to building relationships, not being a salesman and certainly not getting the money and running.
Though my first boss was a good man and taught me many great things throughout a lifelong friendship, his philosophy of get the money and run is much like the film distributors I have had experience with over the years. I want to build the same loyal relationships with filmmakers and fans so we can unite in spreading God’s message through film.
At LCE, we understand that the filmmaker has a creative mind to make stories come to life on the screen. We also understand the value of the filmmaker’s time. But most of all, we understand the filmmaker can’t move to the next creative project if he/she is stuck with months and years of research, negotiations and leg work trying to find a platform to show their film without breaking the bank.
We designed Little Cherub Entertainment to be a distribution opportunity for Filmmakers to get their work out to the world without sacrificing every penny the film makes. We do this by cutting fair monetary splits between LCE and filmmakers. We carefully screen and analyze every film in order to build the right marketing plan. We realize most filmmakers dream of having their film on the big screen so we use traditional and non-traditional methods of getting films released. We do work passionately to get every film into as many theaters as feasibly possible. Unfortunately, most indie films never see much theater time. But that’s not the end of the world for a film. With today’s fast food, drive through lifestyles, more people are watching movies on personal electronic devices than ever before. With LCEs individual film marketing plan, we can pitch each film to the platforms most likely to accept it. We work with major video on demand platforms around the world to get your film out via the world wide web. It’s true that DVD sales are not what they once were, but they are not dead yet. We market every movie to retailer and wholesalers around the world in DVD and BluRay formats.
Little Cherub Entertainment is an innovator in the entertainment distribution business, specializing in managing world-wide distribution of superior independent films and music. LCE manages domestic and international sales, marketing and monetization of choice films through traditional and non-traditional release formats. Our goal is to offer filmmakers the experience that is needed in managing the many platforms of entertainment distribution without having to sacrifice their creative time with sales and recouping investments and profits. LCE ownership has over 100 years of combined sales and marking experience as well as over 80 years of combined entertainment experience. This kind of experience gives us the skills we need to get the job done right.
You’re a filmmaker and We’re a film-distributor, let us distribute for you because you need to be making films.
